ValleyofTea Sencha Tea – From Japan – Loose Leaf – Also called Japanese Sen Cha – From a Artisan Farm, A classic Autumn flush Darjeeling – large leaf pieces, copper colour, great breakfast tea, with or without milk.

Don’t buy this – i want every last leaf for myself. Having noticed that my usual supply of darjeeling tea from a different seller was, this season, of slightly lower taste quality than last year’s, i thought i’d try something different and in fact more expensive. It’s what darjeeling should be. I was interested to see a darjeeling tea as an oolong, as my other favourite tea is also an oolong, and i therefore eagerly awaited delivery of this item. I really wasn’t disappointed. This comes very close indeed to being my favourite tea, out of about ten or so i’ve tried over the last couple of years.

This is the good stuff, high quality and smooth. Was pleasantly surprised, now i know where i will be buying my tea from :).

  • Sencha is a soft, steamed green tea from Japan with a unique delicate flavour. Taken from the first harvest of June 2017, this Sencha is delicate, tender and packed with aromatics and minerals.
  • This refreshing green tea carries hints of fresh-cut grass, a mellow and sweet aroma, and is guaranteed to refresh and revitalise tea drinkers of all ages.
  • Even the shape of this tea is a nod to Japan’s tea-drinking history, as the leaves are each rolled into traditional tender needle shapes to preserve their scent and flavour.
  • This Sencha is sourced by Valley of Tea, and as such contains only pure tea leaves and buds.
  • Make sure you don’t miss out on a truly unique green tea!

I swear this white tea is so delicious.

Takes a little bit of getting used to in terms of how much you need to use when you’re brewing – not very much as the leaves unfurl in the infusion process. You can use them a couple of times too so it’s all good.

Sencha Green Tea – From Japan – Loose Leaf – Also called Japanese Sen Cha – From a Artisan Farm : If you’re looking for non-perfumed real tea, this one may be for you, super fragile taste, thick uncurled leaves, easy to brew. I prefer white but this green when removed from the kettle after 5 min is probably best tea i ever drink so far.

All my expectations have been surpassed. For so long, i have wanted to try ‘proper’ green tea and not something in a tea bag from a supermarket and wow this was utterly delicious, a world away from the ‘usual’ green tea i have experienced. I used to buy green tea with an extra sort of flavour such as coconut to enhance the flavour or perhaps disguise it a bit but i actually love drinking this pure tea as it is. It is refreshing, lovely taste, its own distinctive flavour and honestly not what i had expected. I thought it would be something beneficial to my health and that i ‘should’ drink it but i didn’t expect to thoroughly enjoy drinking. If you want to try real green tea treat yourself to this one, knowing it tastes very pure (that’s the only way i can describe it) and from someone who really cares about its origin, it’s production and cares about the whole experience of it. Delicious and it’s hidden from the rest of my family.
