My wife has tried these and these are here opinions. The tea comes in tubes, rather like the sugar does in cafés etc. The tea is in fact a powder that dissolves completely, although you do need to keep it stirred to stop the ‘bits’ from remaining in the bottom of the cup. The tea is green, very very green. Its taste is of tea (obviously) but in its purest form – no bitterness or strange aftertaste. My wife says she likes it a lot, but at the price it isn’t something she would drink all the time – one a day is fine. As far as the health giving properties are concerned, as yet (a two week period) neither my wife of i can see (or feel) any obvious advantage). Perhaps it needs to be drank over a much longer period for that to happen. At almost a pound a time we both feel that this is a bit too expensive and have removed a star because of that.
When matcha is good is there any better taste?. I’m impressed with this tea for a couple of reasons. Firstly it’s organic and that’s not always easy to find. Secondly the sachets are great for carrying to work (or wherever) and are really efficient in producing a lovely cup of tea. I’m also going to experiment with using this product to make ice cream.

Seems to give you more energy and tastes pretty damn nice too. The teapigs 100% pure organic matcha green tea sachets are a pack of 14 single serve sachets containing a 1g portion of the special organic matcha powder. The idea is that you mix the sachet with water (hot or cold) or milk for a very light green tea taste – but one full of flavonoids, l’theanine and beta carotene. They’re apparently designed to give you sprightliness and all that sort of natural healthy goodstuff. The box recommends that you have one sachet a day, so the pack will last you for two weeks. My wife and i are just having them every now and again, when we feel we may need an extra little kick to get through the day. To make up a drink with one of these sachets you just need to tear one open, poor it into a bottle, add your water (or milk) and then shake (or whisk) well, until the power has completely dissolved. Taste-wise, when added to cold water the matcha taste like a light and crisp green tea with a very slight hint of sweetness (they’re not bitter at all). Well, whether it’s just a placebo style effect or not, i’m not sure, but both my wife and i agree that we often do feel like we have more energy during the day after having one of these sachets.
Matcha tea is a great addition to a smoothie and increases energy levels. Matcha is a powered green tea from japan where it has been used as a tea for hundreds of years, it can be used as a tea or as an ingredient for smoothies or other recipes. Matcha is world renowned for its health benefits which are numerous. There are many more nutrients in matcha powdered green tea than in other green teas, this is because with matcha you are consuming the whole leaf and not just the ‘brewed water’ of other green teas. The health benefits of matcha tea is huge and includes the following:packed full of powerful antioxidants and egcgit can boost metabolism and burn calories. It is rich in chlorophyll, fibre and vitamins. It has been suggested that it can fight cancer. Teapigs organic matcha is a premium grade green tea powder which comes in 14 individually sealed sachets … each sachet contains 1g of green tea powder. Premium grade matcha is for adding to smoothies or using in baking, it can also be used in lattes. Up until this point i had heard of the green tea that you brewed in a teapot, but i had never heard of matcha green tea. I do not like the taste of green tea (the brewed version) as i have always found it disgustingly bitter. So i was quite keen to try this type which is a fairly bright green fine powder which has very little smell.
Convenient sachets of premium green tea. Matcha is meant to be the premium of green teas. I haven’t drunk enough different green teas to know whether the quality is as good as claimed but it certainly makes a wonderful colour of tea that has a slightly bitter taste you’d expect with this product. I like the fact that these come in already measured sachets which makes them nice and portable for taking to work or on holiday with you. Just shake out the sachet contents and stir up with hot water, add milk and sweeteners to taste. You do need to stir this powder in well to mix it up nicely for tea. I recommend tipping the powder into a clean cup, adding just a small amount of hot water and stir it in well before adding the rest of the water and any milk. It seems to mix up better this way. I also like to add these sachets into my porridge which masks any bitterness of flavour and it is my preferred way to add some goodness into my morning breakfast. You can also add them to healthy smoothies too if you like.
teapigs Organic Matcha Sachets Tea (Pack of 14) : High quality green tea in convenient sachets. I’m still not 100% convinced on the flavour of green tea, but this one was very smooth with a delicate scent. If you like green tea i imagine this knocks most others out of the water for taste and texture. Although pricey, this is massively convenience. Brilliantly healthy green tea sachets for your convenience. It isn’t usual to get a product of such quality in this format.
