Matchæologist – Hyperpremium Matcha Tea Powder · Highest Quality Ceremonial Grade Artisanal Matcha 20g, smooth and delicate flavour

I use matcha green tea on a daily bases, usually adding it to smoothies and have found that prices for it vary so was eager to give this one a go. The look, smell and taste are the same as the more expensive brand that i have tried and with this i have got more so i am very happy with that. Matcha green tea is very high in antioxidents which help protect cells from damage so in my opinion the more we have the better, it also increases energy so better to be taken early in the day rather than late afternoon or evening. The container is sturdy so no risk of knocking it over and losing its precious content. Inside it was foil wrapped to keep it nice and freshthe nutitional content was on par with my usual so i think i will be switching to this particular brand from now on.

Best quality matcha and well worth the price as a little goes a very long way. I have also used it to make matcha ice-cream.

How to make the perfect cup of matcha. First of all i have to say – wow, what packaging, this just reeks of hipster finesse and elegance with its chemistry lab based aesthetic and design. You get a sealed foil pouch (handy for keeping everything fresh and cuts down on the mess) that you are supposed to empty into the tin. Being an all round rebellious type of fellow i didn’t do that at all and just snipped off the top of the bag and shoved my spoon in and got brewing, speaking of which here are some top tips to help you craft a fine beverage:there are two types of brew you can create – usucha (thin matcha) and koicha (thick matcha). I prefer the former so will share those steps. Take a small ceramic bowl and fill it full of hot water, leave it for about 10 minutes to heat it up nicely. Throw away the water and dry the bowl. Measure 70ml of hot water in a measuring cup and leave to the side. Add 1/2 teaspoon of powder to the empty, warm bowl (note sift the powder now so there are no clumps, makes it much easier to froth and tastier).

My search for the best matcha is now over. This matsu matcha has a great flavour. Previously i was only drinking matcha mostly for the health benefits of it / and to keep me awake and focused, however i had to mix it with honey or milk otherwise the taste is not very pleasant. However, one of my colleague at work recommended me to try this matsu matcha and i’m now hooked. It’s not the cheapest matcha by all means, however, the taste is amazing. In terms of the effect, cheaper matcha brands i used to buy before have rather rougher, duller buzz. Matsu on the other hand is like a meditation on a mountain top kind of high – really helps getting my head clear and getting loads of work done. Will definitely be buying more again.

I had been hearing all about the antioxidant health benefits of matcha tea and was very excited to come across this. The meiko is one of the options that matchaeologist offer and it has a wonderful floral undertone which makes it a very pleasant drink. It is of the highest grade (cerimonial grade) and best quality available. I am not a fan of the traditional green tea so was incredibly excited to taste this and actually enjoy the flavour. It gives me a boost in the morning which is even helping me kick my coffee addiction. *i was given the opportunity to review this item in return for honest and objective feedback*.

Matchæologist – Hyperpremium Matcha Green Tea Powder · Highest Quality Ceremonial Grade Artisanal Matcha 20g (Meiko – Full-bodied with Subtle Floral Aromas) : This is an excellent quality matcha. It’s smooth, sweet and vegetal providing and lovely buzz and great feeling of health. It comes in a tin with a foil bag inside. You only get a tiny amount though and spill some when you open the package. The tin keeps it fresh and protected. I would have preferred a larger amount but i drink this daily and need more to keep me going for the month. I got these for a discount but have still parted with my own money and would happily pay full price for them so wouldn’t recommend them otherwise. Very green compared to some other brands on amazon but also very expensive for the small amount you get. Wish it was organic too but you cant have it all.

      1. I’ve had several matcha brands and none compare with this one. The flavour is fresh and pure, with none of that dustiness or bitterness that’s common with cheaper brands. This is really top-quality and worth the extra money. I like it with half almond milk, half water, that way it’s a real treat, but it is very pleasing with water only.

      1. Very pleased with this matcha. I am very pleased with matchaeologist’s meiko matcha. I find it very easy to prepare since they have a good tutorial video on their website, and it whisks into the water very easily. I drink one cup in the morning before work and one when i get home. For my morning drink i’ve been mixing it with some almond milk and after work i just drink it with some warm water. It has a smooth taste and none of the bitter after taste that some other teas have. It gives me a really good boost in energy for the day, and i don’t get the crash that i used to get with coffee a few hours afterwards. I also like that it comes in a useful small tin, so i can store it in the fridge to keep it fresh.

Meiko is a fantastic product. I’ve been a green tea drinker for a while, but after trying a starbucks matcha latte and doing research into matcha benefits i decided to buy this. It’s good ratings drew me to it, and with good reason. Although the pot itself is small (i feel like i’m going to get through it quickly) the price is fair for the quality of product. After seeing most of the review were for the meiko, that’s the tea i chose to purchase. It’s a gorgeous emerald green colour. Lovely to drink with hot water, or as a latte. It says on the instructions to use 1g, which i’ve worked out to be 1/2 tsp measure. I think i’ll be making it mostly as a latte as it is the perfect alternative to nipping to the coffee shopsi make my latte by heating some milk on the hob (i’ve tried with both cows and oat milk and have decided to keep using oat milk. The reason for this being i’ve since found out the caesin in milk can mute the health benefits of matcha).

    1. The health benefits are great. A bit of a pain to prepare if. I was surprised at how seaweed-y this tastes, but i’ve experimented with adding warm milk and honey and it’s much nicer that way. I can literally feel the energy, in a similar way to coffee, but there’s no crash afterwards. The health benefits are greata bit of a pain to prepare if you’re not used to it, but it’s worth it. I use a small whisk and that works fine for now.

Green tea after many recommendations from friends and hearing good things from online pages. I bought this green tea after many recommendations from friends and hearing good things from online pages. I wanted to try something new and since i enjoy normal green tea, matcha tea seemed like an obvious progression. I was delighted by the quality of the packaging making the product very aesthetically pleasing. The simple logo and brushed metal really appealed to my inner designer. The green tea itself is fine is appearance and bright in colour, just as expected. The tea had a strong taste and really gave a boost to my day. The caffeine really had an effect and this should be considered when consuming the tea. I have to say, the tea is not the cheapest but if you are willing to pay the premium, the tea is well worth it. At 20g, and at 1g servings, it is a little hard to judge how much to put into your first cup of tea, but with practice you will be able to strengthen to taste.

    1. I chose this product after some research, as i read that matcha is supposed to be better quality when the colour is a deeper green. This is certainly a deep green colour. It is finely ground, has an earthy taste, and provides a smooth aftertaste. I drink it whisked together with a little manuka honey and soy milk. I notice i feel a bit perkier but also somewhat relaxed after consumption, i believe this is the effect of l-theanine, a calming amino acid. There is no sudden crash later on like you might get with coffee. I think the price is a tad high for such a little pot, however a little goes a long way, and i believe this is excellent quality tea.
